Ancient pavement. The coast trail was constructed by the Spaniards after the conquest of the island 1496, most probably on former trails of the Guanches, the native population of Tenerife. Today it is a wonderful hiking trail.

built during the spanish civil war, overviewing the entrance of Playa de San Marcos below Icod de los Vinos. In combination with trenches on the other side of the bay, the entrance could be protected and defended.
