Okopy szwedzkie, Bren, Southern Poland
Grown over ruins in a field north of Tarnów. During the 30years war the local population built a quite big fortification at this spot, to protect themselves from the Swedish troops. At some places there are still underground constructions, and holes in the ground most probably are remains from pot hunters.

War Cementry No. 284
west of Tarnów, hidden behind the sound protection wall of the main road to Cracow, under two huge trees, with 42 soldiers of the Austro-Hungarian army and 2 soldiers of the German army, that lost their lives here 1915 during WWI.
In the Tarnów area there are around 200 such war cementries, that remind us of the meaningless victims of war. Have we learned? Looks like we did not!

War Cementry No. 193
LUBCZA SZCZEPANOWSKA
Erected 1917-1918, consisting of an austrian-hungarian and a russian section.
In World War One here in Galicia there were heavy fights. Near Tarnów in the forests and villages there are around 200 war cementries from this time, where there are burried polish, austrian, german, russian, hungarian, bosnian, czech and italian soldiers.
Unbeleavable how many young men of different nationalities were killed here meaningless for geopolitical ambitions of some elits!
